Adapt Jazz Exams 2020

Congratulations again on being chosen to participate in an ADAPT exam. Please make sure you are practising your terminology and set work at home as well as at dance. DBSD is very proud to be the leading studio in Manitoba for ADAPT syllabus work, we are setting a very high standard for dance in Manitoba and are very pleased that you are a part of this journey with us.

Our examiner this year will be Mrs. Barb Jackman

Required Dress for all levels:

Black tank-style bodysuit, beige Mondor brand tights, beige jazz shoes. ( NO UNDERWEAR )

HAIR- must be in a correct ballet bun, tightly held with bobby pins and bun pins, and with a hairnet. ( If you are not confident making a good ballet bun please let us know ASAP. We have people on hand to make buns for dancers who need help. Your dancer should come with a tightly slicked back pony tail — no bangs, no part, and bring a water spray bottle, strong hair gel, hair spray a brush and a fine toothed comb )

Dancers are asked to arrive 45 minutes prior to their exam to warm up, 60 minutes prior if they need help with their hair.

Exam Prep classes:

Junior One Jazz-Tuesday 5pm-6:30pm final exam class JAN 21st 2020. Dancers must come to dance in exact exam attire, with their hair done as explained above. This day will be run as a mock exam class. ATTENDANCE AT THIS CLASS IS MANDATORY.

Junior Three Jazz- Exam class Wednesday 8-9pm Jan 15 and 22nd. Dancers are expected to attend exam classes in exact attire and hair as listed above. ATTENDANCE AT THESE CLASSES IS MANDATORY, ATTENDANCE IN THE REGULAR SATURDAY JAZZ CLASS IS ALSO MANDATORY
