All dancers and parents/caregivers are expected to read, understand, and adhere to the following:

BY SIGNING UP FOR CLASSES AT DBSD YOU AGREE TO HAVE YOUR CHILD’S IMAGE USED IN PUBLICITY FROM TIME TO TIME, AS WELL AS ON OUR SOCIAL MEDIA. WE DO NOT PUBLISH NAMES. IF YOU DO NOT WANT YOUR CHILD’S IMAGE USED PLEASE ADVISE US BY EMAIL DBSDOFFICE@GMAIL.COM CC BBOTTLE@SHAW.CA

  • Please read and be familiar with all pages of the website

  •  Placement of students is decided by DBSD teachers and staff. Placement is dependent on a number of factors including, but not limited to, age, class size and dancers level and ability

  •  Challenge classes must be applied for. If an appropriate challenge is available, there will be a $25.00 registration fee added to the account

  •  Existing DBSD clients will be given first choice of their recommended classes. All spots will be opened as of July 1st, and filled on a first come first served basis

  •  No fees will be refunded once they have been deposited

  •  DBSD reserves the right to cancel/or decrease the time allotment of any classes due to low enrolment.

  •  Students are required to come to class in the appropriate clothing and footwear as

outlined in the dress-code ( found at www.dbsdance.com/classes/required dress )

  •  Parents and caregivers are asked to leave children at the door to the first studio and not enter the dance space without permission

  •  Only water is allowed in the dance studios

  •  Our change room is a gender-neutral space, as are our washrooms

  •  Please help to keep our facilities clean, and speak to your children about how to be

responsible in this fashion as well

  •  There are two small steps to enter 120 Regent Ave East. Clients should be mindful of the step entering the building. There is a sharp turn upon entering. Clients should ask for assistance if required. The studio phone number is 204-222-9368

  •  DBSD is not responsible for lost or stolen items. We highly recommend that all

belongings be labeled. Valuables should not be left in the change room

  •  All questions or concerns should be directed to Ms. Barb. A meeting will be set up if

necessary. Please contact Ms Barb at bbottle@shaw.ca

  • Competition students may not be able to take part in competition if fees are outstanding. Always reach out if you need assistance in any way!

  • We assume all students are taking part in the year end recital unless notified otherwise. This also means the family agrees to pay the additional fees associated with the show, including costume fees, and ticket fees

  • Families understand and agree that students will not receive costumes, or be able to take part in the year end show if their dance account is in arrears

  • Please contact us if your child will be absent— 204-222-9368, or email dbsdoffice@gmail.com Attendance is very important and the success of the class, your child’s dance learning, and the learning of others depends on excellent attendance

  •  BE A POSITIVE ROLE MODEL BOTH IN AND OUT OF DANCE

  •  Any parent, caregiver, or student found to be creating conflict, using inappropriate language, making derogatory, racist, homophobic, or otherwise negative comments toward DBSD staff, teachers, or other DBSD clients, or any people at dance events we are attending, will be reprimanded. If after meeting and discussing the issue the negative behaviour does not cease the offender may be asked to leave DBSD.
